Rising Number of Non Payers

I am new to this but not new to Ebay.

I have noticed recently the rising numbers of non payers. I had 6 in about 15 days just a few  weeks ago and it looks like another 2 this week.

I can see reasons why Ebay would not bring back negative for buyers due to **bleep** for Tat negative being left. However, if a seller has gone through the UPI procedure and the buyer still has not paid then why can't Ebay mark a buyers feedback with something as simple as "Did not Pay"?

It would definitely deter many inconsiderate time wasters and Ebay would not be paying out so much in refunding fees.  I can see how many people my block has caught but not who they are. I block at 5 in a 6 month period and one last year only had a feedback score of 21. Surely this bidder and others of a similar inclination  should be known to all sellers. In this age of transparency I cannot think why Ebay would want to protect these habitual non payers.

It is wholly unfair that Ebay members who only ever buy always have 100% F/B when they may have not paid for many items. Buyers feedback is inaccurate and meaningless!  It is not a level playing field. If Ebay really cared about sellers they would do something to make it more even.

Can't you block at two UIDs in twelve months? That's a lot more restrictive.

As far as buyer feedback is concerned, it does you (and other sellers) a lot more good to (1) file UIDs against your deadbeat buyers, and (2) block them at two in twelve than to leave them negative feedback. Unless you're selling with auctions (or making/accepting Best Offers), you can even see a buyer's feedback until after they've purchased something from you.

I see you have one auction running. Start listing with "Buy It Now" and "immediate payment required." That should cut down on the deadbeats.

P.S. Noticed from your user id that you're in the UK. You might want to post on your home board, too: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Discussion-Boards/ct-p/13
