Return

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I had a buyer request a return and I accepted the return. They still left negative feedback, but that's beside the point.

For some reason ebay released the funds back to the buyer before the item was returned. Now I'm out the money and the item. It wasn't a cheap item. I don't see that ebay even has customer support. What can I do? Help! Thank you in advance.

Did they open a Not As Described case? If so, everything is funneled thru it. So you accepted the return. Did you send the buyer a shipping label?

Return

Did you send the return label in time?

If you let time elapse from what eBay said should be done then eBay stepped in and issued the refund.

More details would help

Return

I'm sorry that you are going through this stress, but as others have pointed out, it is important to follow the return process in order to be covered. It sounds, unfortunately, like you may not have.

Please take the time to read about returns so that any possible future returns you can handle with knowledge.

Return

Only sell items where you can afford to lose the money and the item. I don't sell pricey items its better to stick with selling lots of smaller cheaper stuff. To many scammers target expensive items on here. ebay does auto release funds on returns these days. It was in one of their recent updates they would auto approve them when buyer has started to send the item back. Only problem is you might get a box of sand in return. There is nothing you can do. Some say to file police reports on the buyer for theft if you don't get the original item back. Make sure you block the buyer.

What can I do?

We definitely need some more information before we can give you any advice.

As suggested above:

What reason was given for the return request?
To what city/state/country did you ship?
If it was a US sale, did you provide (or have ebay provide) the return shipping label if a not as described issue?
If it was an international sale, did you send money to the buyer for a return?
Do you have a tracking number for the return to see where it is now?
What was the item?

There are probably more, but that should suffice to get started.
