Dear experts,
The buyer (bought a pre-owned pants) want to return it.
I have no problem with his willing.
However he opened the Return Request in a way that it says that I (as a seller) have to pay his returning shipping cost.
First of all, I wonder why the system enforce me to pay it.
I want to affirm the request without pay his returning shipping cost. And I don't have such an option.
How can I do it?
In addition, what could happen if I don't affirm the request? Let assume that I don't answer to this request - and assume that the buyer ask eBay to intervene. What happens next?
I really want to get it back and fukk refund the buyer (without his returning cost).
I have to add that I guess if I sell "blue pants" and the buyer get by mistake "red pants" it is make sense that I have to pay the returning cost becuase my mistake. However in this case the buyer claim that the condition is not "good" as I declared. Condition is depends on the eye of the observer. Maybe my Good is Mediocare in his mind.

You need to accept the return request, pay for the return shipping and refund the buyer once you have received the item back. If you don't and you don't respond to the request and the buyer ask eBay to step in you will lose your item, and they will refund the buyer out of your paypal account. And the most damaging part of that is the defect that you will receive on your account for failing to take care of the situation.

@gcshirts2013 Unfortunately, that is the challenge of selling clothes -- your definition of 'good condition' may not be the same as their definition of 'good condition'. It's completely subjective.
If you don't accept their return request and pay for return shipping you could end up with a defect and you don't want that. Too many of them and you will lose your selling privelages.
When listing clothes it is a good idea to note everything about them when applicable, ie: shows minor signs of wash/wear, or shows mild color fade, or has minor pilling, etc.

I really sympathize with the used clothing sellers because I don't think there is a large enough profit margin to absorb these false snad claims. Buyers are trying them on, they don't like the fit, and then they claim snad to avoid the shipping cost. I sure hope you used clothing sellers are picking for a dime in order to absorb these claims. Otherwise used clothing is going to be a dying category on ebay.
