Hi,
I sold a set of towels. The buyer just asked the refund and return them to me. The reason is that the buyer saying there is blood stain on the towel. Please review the item#173610734018
eBay sent me a message and asked me to send the buyer a refund after I received the towels. It is a mark that I mention on the condition and also showed the photo. Here is what I send him a messagae.
I put down "Minimal marks on these towels (shown as photos)" in the condition . I don't think you did read the condition. It is not right to put down "doesn't match description and photos" I did show the photo too. Please double check on it. I am a honest seller, I always mention to the customers if there is damage or defective on the item and also show the photos as well. Honest is my priority goal to all my customers.
It is fine if you want to return it. beside i don't think it is blood stain. I WON'T sell to customers if it is blood stain on it. It is only a MARK.
eBay is always on buyer side. But I also learned a lession, I think I need to menton the damage or defective on my description besides in the Condition.
Please give me some suggestions, so I can avoid this problem.
Thank you very much for all your help

My suggestion is to never get into a debate regarding condition, or get into any conversation on the matter. Just ask the buyer to return the item for a refund. That is the new normal in retail thanks to Amazon which only needs to break even on a retail sale as profit comes from Prime fees and not sales margins.

You can refuse the return. You cannot refuse the refund.
Send the Return Shipping Label. Put her on your Blocked Seller List . Relist and resell.
It's not personal. It's business.
Not every transaction will go smoothly.
I am a honest seller, I always mention to the customers if there is damage or defective on the item and also show the photos as well. Honest is my priority goal to all my customers.
Never never say this again.

It makes you sound like a scammer running a con game.

Hi, you are right on the money—any flaws should be mentioned in the description too. Also, some buyers don’t read the text in a listing, so showing clear close-ups of the flaw in photos, like you did, is also a good practice in addition to using the condition field.
The way i have avoided this problem is to no longer offer items that have flaws unless it is an unusual and/or much-sought-after widget.
I think I would have handled communication with the buyer differently. It isn't necessary to get into a conversation defending your choices or position. Having someone challenge you by opening a Not As Described case can sting a little, and it is natural to want to set the person straight, but it’s best to keep the dialogue short and sweet. Admonishing the buyer can create more issues. You know you are honest, let it go at that.
Wishing you the best, hope you have a great 4th quarter.

I know this is upsetting.
Listing that info in the title, condition field, and the description can help.
