Return fraud, sellers beware - Return to different address within same zip code.

By the tracking number, the postmaster in the local usps office can verify that the return package was delivered to a different address from the default return address. The USPS return shipping label was dispatched by ebay, I don't know how they change the default return address,  I found out until the return case was closed by ebay according to the tracking shows delivered. I am sure there is a glitch and Ebay can fix it easily, but I don't why Ebay is not fixing it.

I have reported it to Ebay, and  I am waiting for Ebay's decision.

Finally push chatting upgrade to a supervisor, but the supervisor refuse to do anything about the wrong decision.

That's horrible. Even with proof, they denied the appeal? Ebay gets worse every year.

I am dealing with a similar situation and I will be prosecuting the buyer. Some say “it’s just a risk you take.” I’ve got the time and resources to make sure this scammer doesn’t continue.

im pretty sure this is a new scam trying to get sellers to refund for returns hoping sellers do not notice the item was returned to an address other than their own ... this has happened to me two times in the past two weeks ... i was more diligent and saw the address was the buyers zipcode and state so i contacted ebay immediately and let them know .. the buyer seen that i did not refund the order so they shipped it back i got it a week later and ebay gave me a defect anyway .. im currently dealing with the second instance ebay stepped in on the second case and took care of the order but i will have to see if i end up with another defect as the system expects a refund to the buyer as it shows delivered apparently even though it was not my return address a lot of things that need attention for sure
