Cannot add my new checking account

So I received a new checking account with BOA and my old checking was removed and closed. However, the old checking account was connected to eBay. I already ass my new debit card but I cannot add my new checking account because eBay states I need to verify my old checking in order to add the new checking account. How can I do that when BOA closed and removed that account?

Are they just asking for you to enter the old number?

If you have an old statement from that former account, that would be helpful.  I believe you receive a final statement when an account is closed.  Might want to look around for it.

They are asking me to verify my checking account by either logging into my previous bank account or providing account details manually. The account is closed so I don't know how that will work.

If I am remembering correctly providing account details manually just required account & and routing numbers when I setup my account the first time. If you don't have them on an old check or something I would stop by the bank and get the numbers from the manager.

Maybe I am misunderstanding the process but I thought this was just requiring you to enter the old number as an added security layer to insure it's really you making the changes.
