Did you send the item back with tracking? Did you open a return case with the seller? Was this for the watch you mentioned in the other posts?

You should call or chat with Ebay.
Usually when you return an item, Ebay usually provide you a label, once the label starts tracking the Ebay system usually pick it up. It shouldn't close out in 30 days, once the item shows that it is tracking.
Did you pay for your own label or did you ship the item out late?

To what purpose did you copy this other user's question? Is there a problem with you coming up with your own issue?:

Noted that return case is closed and you don't know the outcome of this case.
You did not state when you purchased the item or date you opened return case.
To get answers you need to find this case in your returns history.
On your main sellers hub page Go to orders and drop down menu select Returns.
Change 1st field from open returns to Closed returns 2nd field Depending on date of case change the field from last 90 days to period that covers your case date.
Return case will appear and click on return ID and details will show you what happened to this case.
If this does not answer all your questions then try clicking on Cases on left side of page and resolution centre opens. Change the field in View and Period and again your case will appear , Click on see details and this should answer all your questions.

This exact thing happened to me and apparently to many others. The more I’ve looked into this, it’s a HUGE flaw in the eBay system that many sellers have taken advantage of at the cost of buyers. In my case, the item showed up with several rips and torn off fabric not mentioned in pics or description. The seller took their time to respond, accepted it for return and when they received it, said i could expect a refund in 5-10 business days. They never did. I contacted them and no response. Then my case was closed ( all in less than a month). I checked reviews of this seller and apparently they’ve done this to many other buyers (maybe hoping they don’t check to see it’s not been refunded) and then CLOSED case and they have successfully stolen the buyers money. And worst part… eBay gives you no place to go for help with this. The case is closed. Make sure to spread the word and let others know. eBay needs to take accountability for this. We trust them with providing a safe transaction experience, not to be stolen from.

I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME. I AM DISGUSTED. THERE IS NO WAY OF GETTING IN TOUCH WITH EBAY AS THERE IS NO OPTION. IF THEY HAD READ THE MESSAGES BETWEEN THE SELLER AND I THEY SHOULD HAVE REFUNDED ME. THEY JUST CLOSE THE CASE WITHOUT READING THE MESSAGES HOW EASY FOR THEM. THE SELLER KNOWS THIS AND KNOWS THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. THIS HAS MADE ME ILL THE TREATMENT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE SELLER, YODEL AND EBAY. NO ONE IS BOTHERED AND WANTS THE RESPONSIBILITY. I HAVE BEEN TREATED SO WRONG WITH ALL INVOLVED. I PAID WITH PAYPAL SO THIS IS THE ONLY OPTION LEFT TO SEE IF I CAN GET A REFUND. I DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS WORKS. IS THIS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS COME TOO.

How did you process your request for a return? Did you file an item not as described (INAD)?
Or did you merely message the seller and arrange it outside the formal eBay return system?
eBay does not read messages, although it does scan them for phone numbers and the like.
Thus it's imperative that when you ask for a return, you go through eBay's formal return process.
I process refunds immediately upon receipt of item from the buyer, so I am unfamiliar with what you are reporting. Below is an excerpt from this page .

Hopefully after 3 1/2 years, the OP got their refund
