Hi guys,
I recently sold a Nexus 6 I had run through the setup process (but otherwise was open box). Unfortunately, I completely forgot to disable FRP when shipping to the buyer.
So, upon his opening of a return request (and at his agreement to close the return if given the credentials to sign into the phone), I rendered the pertinent login information.
He successfully managed to sign in and remove my account from the phone (which is what we wanted to do), so (after securing the account), I sent him a message asking him to remove the return request. No response.
So, I'm assuming that letting the return request run its course without a response (6 days) will automatically rule in favor of the buyer returning the device (which I'm fairly sure the buyer does not want to do as well). I sent a $10 partial refund for the inconvenience in order to start the month-and-a-half clock ticking for the automatic closing of the return request.
Personally, I think this is ridiculous. There should be a way for sellers to close a return request (without penalty) given that they have sufficient evidence (in this case a Google sync timestamp) and release their funds.

Since the buyer is not responding. Accept the return for refund upon delivery of the phone back to you.
The buyer has a certain date to return the phone. When that day passes, call ebay and ask them to close the case in your favor.
The good part about that is the buyer can't leave you a neg FB or open another return case on ebay.
