I am a fairly new seller on Ebay and have never had this situation happen to me. I had a buyer that won an auction and was waiting 2 days for 2 more auctions to end so that I could combine the shipping. I did not have a problem with this at all and I even stated this in a message to the buyer. I logged into my account yesterday and noticed that Ebay had opened up a resolution case against this buyer. I thought that I had gone into the resolution case and closed the case but I guess not. Today I received a message from the buyer asking me why I had opened up a case against her. I explained to her that Ebay had done it automatically and that I would follow up on it. What do I need to do now so that I don't lose a possible repeat buyer? The case has been closed for sure now because she made her payment for all 3 things. How do I keep this from happening again? Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. I don't want this to reflect bad on my customer.
Thanks!

It sounds like you opted in to the Unpaid Item Assistant and have it set to open a case after 48 hours of not being paid. Once that happens, the buyer has 96 hours to pay. If no payment, then the case closes and the buyer gets a strike and you get your FVF credited.
If the buyer paid within those 96 hours, then everything should be A-OK and you can ship the items to your buyer.

You can turn off the unpaid item assistant, or revise the number of days before it opens a case.

Just filing a case leave no permanent mark on a buyer's record, so there's nothing for you to do for your buyer except reassure her that it won't happen again.
