Does this seem sketchy? Someone with zero feedback who joined in June wants to know if I'll do a BIN on an item I have. Lead Revolutionary War figures.
Part of the suspicious part is that he's selling figures himself that are very similar but not in as good a shape. His selling history shows a lot having recently been sold. But now he has that exact same lot up for sale again. Might be an irrational fear but I have this feeling if I agree and send him my item, he'll open a SNAD and end up sending me back the lesser quality figures he has and keeping the ones I sent him.
I'm also not entirely comfortable with the 0 feedback.

The zero feedback part doesn't bother me as your item is collectible. I get a lot of '0s' that only want my item because it is hard-to-find.
The fact that he is selling something similar (but lesser) is a bit unsettling. Is your price so low that he intends to resell? I mean, before we assume it's a NAD in the making. Hmmm...

Well first he offered a lower price. Then while having not answered him for a bit to decide what I wanted to say, he wrote again and said never mind and that he's willing to pay what I originally had the item up for. I still have yet to answer. I don't feel completely ok with accepting but also feel bad for turning him down.
The one's he's selling are cheaper than the ones I am.

The best you can do is be proactive. When you feel completely okay... revise the listing to also allow for offers.
I don't do Auctions... but if you won't incur fees for ending it, the item would make a great candidate for BIN at the price you decided on... and set it to require immediate payment.
Being as newly listed as they are, I think you might have a qualified buyer. Good luck, whatever happens!
