Is there a way to run a report that will actually say what I paid for shipping each item out of my total profit for the item? It does it on the invoice for the item so it seems bizarre that it wont give you that information in the report.

@vintagevizsla There is one other report that you might like that shows the break down of the shipping and fees. It's a bit hidden away from the other reports so it's easy to miss.
Go to Seller Hub> Performance > sales
https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/sales Select custom for the date range and then select download report. It will download as a CSV file.
The first shipping column is the amount the buyer paid and the second one is the amount you paid. It is a complete line item break down of the sale with fees.

Go to this page and you can get a detailed spreadsheet / list of all your transactions.

Have you ever used the Seller Hub? It takes a little getting use to, but there is a great deal of information and tools there for you. You can even arrange the tiles in the order which is important to you.
If you have questions, just ask.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, But when I run reports it just seems to do the generic minus charge to the USPS for shipping multiple items and not connected to the actual item in any way. I'm looking for a way that way that actually shows each individual item what the shipping cost was connected to the item. Not just the mass charge to USPS

We have lots of various reports available to us. You need to tell us exactly what you are looking for and exactly what report you are running.

Basically a report with the following columns:

Item Name
Item Sold for
Tax paid

Ebay fees
Shipping paid

I needed a report showing the same thing - actual sales and label costs. Sellers Hub has all that info. You can download and/or print. They also have graphs in color.

Kinda insane that when this report is done through the seller hub it doesnt put things in order by date sold, Is there anyway to get a export that includes this stuff I want AND also includes the date?!?

If you can drop the report into Excel or one of the others covered in the link below, you can manipulate the report any way you need to.

so manually adding the date to each sale, instead of ebay being able to give me that info

Unfortunately exported excel data shows shipping as a separate line item rather than in a column on the same line as the item sold. Maybe one day ebay will get enough complaints to change this.

You are the only one who knows what you paid for the item.
Whatever bookkeeping you use, you have to include a column for those costs, as well as others for expenses like packaging, office supplies, toner, wages for assistants, 3rd party insurance , and taxes.
To say nothing of losses due to returns, refunds, damage while in stock or in transit.
