Ok, so I have active content on my listings and have to remove them before Ebays June deadline date to be in compliance with the moblie phone / mobile device viewing.
Numerous issues I have.
1st, Why does Ebay advertise to use 3rd party apps with active content to use on their website only to tell you they have to be removed.
2nd, FROO, SSB Source book, Mystoremaps, apps will not remove the active content from my auctions regardless of how many times you email them, call them, resubscribe, unsubscribe to start process to remove active content from your listings.
I have been told by 3rd party app businesses (SSB Source book, Mystoremaps) They can not remove the apps / active conent from my listings and that I have to manually remove each active content / code from my listings myself even though I no longer pay for their services Im forced to keep.
3rd, The only way for me to remove active content is to be forced to make Ebay more money by having to manually update each auction, in my case 594 auctions at .50 cents an auction because I sell international for a total of $297.00 to update, like that is not enough after having to pay the same thing again each year when the Post office changes their shipping pricing.
I offer free shipping domestic, but have to update pricing once a year because I sell international.
4th, I feel like I'm being extorted because Ebay advertises these 3rd party apps on their website to make money for advertising them, telling us it will boost our sales, bring in more revenue,,blah blah blah.. only to tell you that all of it must be removed by a deadline date forcing the seller to have to pay Ebay even more money to manually update each auction because Ebay, Froo, MystoreMaps, SSBsourcebook can not and will not remove the apps from my auctions. seems like "Job security" push a button and force sellers to pay more money to remove apps Ebay prmotes sellers to use.
sorry for all the venting, I'm really frustrated with having to keep dishing money out for services I pay for being promoted by Ebay only to be told I have to pay more money to remove these services.
I guess my real question is.
is there anyway to update 594 auctions to remove active content to be in compliance with Ebay policies without having to be charged .50 cents for each listing or not having to be charged at all to remove active content from my listings. 3rd party app business and Ebay refuse to remove the active content, im tired of emailing and calling to get absolutley nowhere and I do not want to pay anymore money than I already pay to sell on Ebay, Im dreading having to update 594 auctions manually and have to pay for it again!
any help would be much appreciated
Thank you.

Yes, I see where you are getting at. but having to bite the bullet and pay .50 cents on muliple auctions 500+ to revise or relist or change is going to be cost worthy. when Ebay, 3rd party app business should remove it for free after you unsubscribe.
I may just shut down multiple auctions that have no sales and try back at a later date.
Ebay is no help. 3rd party app customer service no help.
might as well just give bad reviews , blog and complain on multiple websites about the bad business practices these companies do to small sellers.
at least try to save other sellers from making the mistake I did in using these business that extort money.
I just tried to call Ebay. entered my code and received a recording. Ebay is experiencing high volume technical dificulties please try again later. hangs up. dial tone!
Typical ebay customer support!

I actually understand your frustration.... I seriously do. As I said, I did subscribe to both MyStoreMaps AND SSB. i do actually disagree with you though on 3rd party apps removing code from active listings when you unsubscribe. Your listings are live and that isn't really their responsibility to go in and remove code.
The folks at SSB are great and their CS is very responsive, but it is just something they can't do without paying programmers to remove something because you no longer subscribe to their service. I can only image the uproar from users who have templates and the chaos that would ensue when they removed that code, there would be broken code all over the place and you would still have to go in and fix it anyway.

I took your advice and now i'm doing the MANUEL LABOR approach.
1 auction by 1 auction and removing code / active content from every single auction at the same time removing auctions with no sales.
My Storemaps says they will be rolling out software in two weeks to comply with the non active content, but it is not a chance I want to take. Im going to go plain jane and not deal with any more **bleep**. they asked if I would reconsider canceling on the new non active content roll out.
i dont want to get caught up in a new Ebay Policy of wrong colors, font size, to many letters being used in one sentence or bad punctuation. ..LOL
simple as possible... no tricks ,bells ,whistles, flashing lights, blinking colors etc..etc..
will just have to wait for the 2018 Postal price update so i can give Ebay more money to update the pricing on all my listings.....woo hoo! hahaha!
Just call me butter because im on a ROLL!

Hi @1947transistor2012 - You shouldn't be seeing any charges when revising your listings as everything should have been billed when originally listed or upon renewal. That said, I want to look into this further with you to see what we can do to figure this out. I've gone ahead and emailed you at the email address registered to your posting ID. Please take a look at that and get back to us as soon as you're able.

I see Heidi stopped by and hopefully she will have some options for you to explore... Just any FYI on "stale" listings. Periodically you want to end listings that have a poor sales history, revise and sell similar. It is commonly reported that Cassini counts stagnant listing against your over all visibility. As far as the validity of that thought, they had to pass it before they could see what was in it, so who really knows, but it does make sense to me....
People don't see it because it hasn't recently sold, and it hasn't recently sold because people can't see it... The stale listings just keep sinking in the quicksand further and further and further... WOW, how many metaphors was that?

Hi @renecretsinge_0 - It seems your question is different than what this thread is about. Please start a new thread here: http://community.ebay.com/t5/Bidding-Buying/bd-p/bidding-buying-db with any bidding/buying questions.
Regarding this concern, I would suggest contacting our customer service teams: https://ocsnext.ebay.com/ocs/cuhome?from_ocs=1 to review any restricitons and see what our options are.

Not sure what the problem is here rene, but you need to create your own thread and explain a bit more.
