For the first time ever I received a message that a 2 CD set was removed as being counterfeit. The item was brand new and exactly the same as countless other sets for sale on ebay and amazon. I called customer service and was told the CDs were flagged because of a licensing dispute not that the item was a knock-off. When I asked why there 15 others on ebay I was told they would be removed as well. Four days later all 15 are still listed for sale. What gives?

they were not reported, or are not counterfeit....
Feel free to report them as there is a link on every listing to do so.
Because it is listened does no mean you can... You job to find out if counterfeit or not....
Such of course is not always easy to do:
Also eBay and VERO verified right holder: do make mistakes.
Usually not worth the time to fight it:
Advice no mater what, do not relist it, even if you do fight it and win..

I strongly suggest that you do not try to relist this item. Otherwise, EBAY may suspend your account permanently and without any warning.

Every single issue is counterfeit because the subject did not permit the release of the material; their is only 1 commercial distributor. My point is if ebay is going to flag one then they can simply search for the same UPC and flag them all. Worse yet ebay has generated a product info page on the set that buyers are encouraged to use when listing.

I'm aware of that. The question is why treat sellers differently regarding a licensing issue.

Generally speaking, eBay does not pro-actively remove items when there is a licensing dispute. The person whose intellectual property rights are being usually violated reports listings to eBay, and eBay takes them down.
"What gives" is that the intellectual property rights owner has probably not reported the other ones yet.
