Hello everyone...
I used to be able to automatically relist up to 8 times... which I loved... I am on managed payments now (do not know if that has anything to do with my concern). I have tried the assign automation rules... does not seem to work for me... to relist items continuously... so would be very appreciative if someone could enlighten me on how it works as am sure there is something I do not understand...
When I go to assign automation rules... I have option to relist once, relist continuously or no rule...
What do I need to put in to relist so it expires same time the next week... I tried putting 00 for days and hours... did not seem to come up when I was watching that evening... I went in and cancelled the rule and relisted them manually...
I also tried the time one using same time they had ended and it took them to starting Monday evening (I end them on Sunday evenings)... so that did not seem to work either... smile...
I greatly appreciate some insight on this... smile...
Thank you so much... take care... smile... be safe... smile... Rhonda

I am not in MP, but I have always applied the relist 8 Xs option on the individual listings (that is, I have edited each & every listing to apply that 8 Xs relist option). Yes it is time consuming, but I have never known any other way to do this...

There are two variables to the Auto Relist 8 Times option and it depends on if you are using the Quick Listing Tool (Free to Relist 8-Times, does not count against free listings) or the Business Tool (Charged a Fee or a Free Listing)
It quit working correctly for me about mid 2020 when it started relisting two times and then ending. Then sometimes it would charge a Free Listing or Fee after the relist. After being billed for near 500 listings I quit using it on a large scale. I turned off eBay for nearly three months.
I do not trust it to work properly. Last time I used it a short time ago same thing, I received two auto relists and the auctions ended.

I noticed months ago that eBay turns this function Relist 8 Times, on and off on a whim. To apply the function to 500 listings would take me hours upon hours. After one sometime two relists the function would be turned off. It cause a great deal of frustration and I had to turn off eBay for three months and converted most everything into Buy It Now listings.
The option was not available as a Bulk Listing setting and you are correct, each and every listing the setting would have to be set individually. That is a awful lot of effort to have to open each listing and mark the function.
Check out my post from near a year ago.
Anyway it seems as though there has been some changes with the Relist up to 8 times. Maybe it will work better now. Last time I used it a couple of months ago, it did the same thing, relisted twice, charged a relist and the listing ended after 2nd relist.

I can only speak from my own experience = my method works, have never been charged for any of the 8 re-lists and the listings do end and go into the unsold section after the each auto relist. (the listing go into the unsold after each duration ends and the column shows "relisted" when they auto relist for any of those 8 relisting durations. At the end of the 8 auto relists, that column shows "not relisted". I also can go in and edit the duration when the listing auto relists and can use any of the 5, 7, 10 day listing durations as long as that change is made within a couple of hours or so after the relist.

I agree with you. I had use that function for a long time and it worked fine and I was not charge a relist for the 8 relists. But then it started messing up and sometimes the feature would be offered and sometimes it would not.
I talked to eBay and they said it is a Promotion that they would offer at times. That is fine, but if they offer and I accept the offer, don't cut if off after two relists. That is not right.
After accepting the offer and editing 500 listings it is a big disappointment the offer is canceled. Twice I went thru 500 listings to accept the offer and all was ended after two relists.
Anyway I am scared to use it again on a large scale.
Maybe under their new policy it is fixed?

I have been using my method without issue for the past year or more for all my listings on .COM. That particular feature is not available for us on our Canadian site, so I do take advantage of it for my . COM listings.

If you start a Auction is the function offered today? Is the box available to check?
It is not available to me today.
The way the new policy reads it will Automatically Relist up to 8 Times. So I am just curious if the option is still on your Listing Page, it is already checked or if the Auction will just relist and that box has been removed?
I know before, sometimes the box is there and sometimes not. Look at my page from today as compared to the one on December 16, 2020.
