Relisting after eBay cancels an order

I sold an item but after I purchased the postage with tracking etc I had an email from eBay saying they 'had a concern with a buyer’s account' and they 'wanted to let you know that a bid for the listing below was cancelled because of an issue with the buyer’s account'... aka the buyer had dropped off the site and dissapeared as a user. So possibly fraudulent? I have requested a refund on the postage/tracking as I hadn't dropped it off yet (just!), but I want to relist the item. However, all I can see is the option to 'cancel the order' and that might hit me with charges.

Does anyone know if the item will auto update eventually to auto cancelled, or will I need to cancel myself?

Thanks!

Do not mail item out of course.

Do not 'cancel the order'...for heaven's sakes!

Usually a shipping label not used will eventually be refunded.

I had a few of these.

Usually you keep the funds on the sale and don't need to ship it out.

Is there a 'hold' on the funds?...If not, there's nothing to worry about.

'buyer dropped off the site'...normal...and can't refund someone who's gone...LOL

Thank you! Yeah hoping just to relist, but currently hold on the funds and still says awaiting shipping on the listing. Happy for the funds to be sent back to buyer and relist it, I just don't want to get hit with more charges for not having posted!
