Refund?

I recently so a broader mobility chair. The buyer asked if I could refund his money. Which I did now eBay is telling me that I owe them $1349 I have no clue as to why I would owe them anything. I like the guy cancel the order because he said hospice hospice had found his mother a Broda mobility chair.I did this out of the kindness of my heart. I never received any money from this customer. Why do I owe $1349?

It seems very obvious, you refunded, and yet you say you never received any money. So what did you refunded? If you didn't receive any money, there is nothing to refund in my opinion. You should really look at how the transaction unfolded. Did you get paid, Did buyer requested refund or cancellation of order. It seems to me that you just gave this person money, and eBay is looking for it. 

Was this transaction done within ebay platform, or buyer asked for your # for texting purpose?

Did you actually cancel the transaction at buyers request? Then the refund would be automatic, tho you would still owe Ebay the thirty cent transaction fee.

Hey @jebow_463! For any orders that are cancelled through your end as a seller, I have linked here the steps to do so. This page also goes over how the refund process works as well.

     As others mentioned and asked you are missing a few details from your posting. First how did you "cancel" the order? As  bonjourami  mentioned if you used the cancel order function through the eBay order drop down and used buyer requested no further action should have been required since as titipeo mentioned you were never actually paid for the item

      This is where it gets strange. How did the buyer request the refund and how did you issue it??  I am guessing you issued it through eBay since eBay is the one looking for the money. You have probably basically just given the buyer $1,349 dollars of your money since they never actually paid you for anything. There is probably no way to handle this through the eBay interface and you are either going to have to contact eBay, suggest the Facebook interface as dial in support is useless, to rectify this problem.

The refund comes from your immediate funds available, since his fund are still processing, ebay needs a way to refund his funds now.  Which is all silly in my opinion.  Never would’ve happened with PayPal is all I need to say.

How is it that the main photo of the listing is a cellphone screenshot OF the listing? I looked at both listings and they have the same set of photos in each. Were these copied from a listing by another seller?

      Thanks!!!!      I have been looking for an electric wheelchair.  I just bought a tall walker & love it💖  I heard their are wheelchairs that recline & never saw one before. This is so nice & there are many on sale here.
