I sold an item and post to a buyer for free postage and have all tracking history; it was delivered but three days after the buyer said not received and reported to ebay ;
after i showed the tracking history i got ebay replied me the case was closed and i do not have to refund.
But the buyer claimed again said the item is not as described and need to sent back
I need to pay the postage to him to sent back for refund . This guy is a Big liar, all the things i posted was well packed and as described .. so guys do i need to refund to him ; actually i dun know if he really sent me back the items.

did he file on e bay? Within 30 days of receipt? If so you do NOT refund until you actually receive the item.

With the logistical problems worldwide the fact that you are in Australia could explain part of the shipping delay on the first claim by the buyer, fortunately it was delivered. As far as the buyers NAD case if they filed an official case through eBay you have a couple of options.
1. Accept the return, provide the buyer with a return shipping label and refund once you have the item back.
2. Accept the return and allow the buyer to keep the item and fully refund the buyer. Depending on the cost of the item and what it cost for the return shipping it may just add to your loss by requiring the buyer to return the item.
3. Offer a partial refund and allow the buyer to keep the item.
Personally I never do 2 or 3 because some buyers are very savvy when it comes to the MBG and will use the NAD claim to phish for a discount or to get the item for free. Regardless you have to respond to the case/claim within the allotted timeline or the buyer may ask eBay to step in and they will not only fully refund the buyer but allow them to keep the item and you will get dinged for not resolving the case with the buyer.
