Hi,
Buyer returned an item and didn't go through ebay, just mail it back to my adress.
How can I refund without a refund request summit?
Thanks
Liz

My ebay > Selling > See all orders
Go to the item in question.
Use the dropdown menu.
I believe "cancel order" (Reason: customer requested) -or- "Send refund" will both work.

I don’t open returned packages that don’t have an open return. I put them on a shelf with refusals for months until I get around to them.
If they open a case I close it with refund. They often don’t.
They don’t get to make their own process. If they don’t want to follow the process I make it as difficult for them as I can. Next time maybe they will get with the program.
If you just refund them it sends the messages that just making your own process works. Then they continue to do just that. I make my return outside the process difficult so the next guy’s return is in the process where it belongs.
Its a “Im going to do whatever the hell I want” contrarian attitude. I do my best to adjust that attitude.
A return around the process is a sign a chargeback is incoming.
