Did you mean:

Refund not what buyer paid.

I need to refund a buyer but when I click send refund the amount is not what the buyer paid. The amount showing is less the tax amount. Does eBay keep the tax or do they return the tax amount?

Thanks,

Roger

Refund not what buyer paid.

the refund will be "in full" to the buyer

as we see it, it will appear to be partials because the amount YOU are refunding is NOT the total of the sale...the TOTAL is the combined amounts of 3 different entries (Sale - Fees - Tax) that are refunded from 3 different sources (you, adyen, and ebay tax collection) at 3 different times.

examples

Sale total: 10.00

Fees: (-) 1.50

Taxes: .80

=============

once all is said and done in real-time customer gets 10.80

Refund you see might be 8.50 (10.00 - 1.50)

Hi @rr_deal

eBay will refund the tax portion of buyer’s payment automatically when you issue a ‘full refund’.
