Refund is not noing through

I am refunding a buyer. I see that I have $783.60 on hold. Here are the refund transaction details:

Amount - $900.00
Fees - $116.40 (Final Value Fee Variable percentage)
Net $783.60
Am I getting charged for something? Why is that?

Thanks

The $783.60 is what's left of the $900 after you paid for shipping and ebay fees.

It is  now being processed and on hold.

Even if I did not sell the item, I am paying eBay fees, correct?

Is this all happening on a different ID? Because I see no current or sold listings for you on this one.

And, no, usually you have no fee if an item does not sell, but cannot see your selling info, so just proceeding blindly here.

If you issue a full refund to the buyer, you will only be charged 30 cents. But because you don't have enough in your pending funds to make the buyer whole, the refund will come from your banking source.

Two questions here. First, why it is not simply taking it from my banking account, and secondly why it is $116? I remember the return label was around 70+. can I check what I paid for it?

@markgoldin

You have no items for sale, and no sold/completed  items listed under this ID that I can see either.  Perhaps it can be found under an item number?

Generally speaking, when a buyer pays, eBay takes their fees from that amount.  So, if you have to refund you don't have enough money.  If the funds are on hold as well, that could complicate the problem.  Refunds are made through "available funds".  You don't have any "available" due to the hold so perhaps they are going to be extracted from your bank account or credit card?

Are you registered for Managed Payments (i.e. supplied your bank account info, ss# etc.)?
Is your buyer still a registered user?

That item number doesn't bring up anything.

Have a great day.
