So I printed the postage for a laptop that was sold yesterday, but about six hours after I printed it, the buyer canceled the order, requested to return the laptop, and then "closed" the return. I am trying to refund this but don't know how. He said he found a different laptop to buy and that the transaction with me glitched out when he really didn't want it. So can I refund him even though he "closed" the transaction/return? Don't want to be in trouble with him or eBay so I figured he'd want his money. All help is appreciated. Thanks!
For further information, I just wanted to offer him a partial refund for the postage I purchased but I couldn't even do that since he closed the return.

You should be able to void the label.
Have you tried cancelling the transaction using buyer requested as the reason?

They were possibly hoping the laptop was shipped and in route when they canceled. When they realized it wasn't shipped they canceled the cancellation.
Does the buyers feedback history and purchase history look good? You may want to call and get the sale canceled by the messages if you cannot start a "buyer requests cancellation".
