I really thought I was done addressing this issue. First let me state the majority of items I sell are glass so the following statements lean in that direction yet I wll quess they apply to many sellers. Having gone through my 700 plus lisiting a number of times adding recommended item specifics. Each time I check the little box do not remind me again. I had reason to revise all my listings. What happens next 55 listings pop up add recommended item specifics of course this has been done a number of times with the little box checked each time, I now quess the little box must be broke. Last gasp on is matter. Does ebay not understand the way they have established some of the item specifics they can not be completed. For example in my case years manufactured ebay gives you a 9 year window much of the glass produced was manufactured for more than 9 years (can not complete specifics) or how about theme please tell me the theme of a vintage wine glass or how it helps the buyer. Sure Manufacturer, Pattern a few others but not the 20 some being asked to complete. I would much rather be listing new items instead o constantly reviving already listed items. I know it was a rant had to gret off my chest.

It is annoying.
But keep in mind, that only the Required IS are required.
You can ignore Recommended and Additional iS if you wish and your listing will still upload.
My pet peeve with Sewing Patterns is that there is no IS for patterns that have never been used, or even taken out of the original packet except to choose between New, which the tatty package belies, or Used, which in not true.

You do have the option to just ignore the recommended item specifics message or the Suggested Actions (these are merely suggestions) in your Seller Hub. It is just a recommendation and not requirement.

@m_pthisandthatI had the same issue, they were asking if an item included a jewel case when we were listing networking switches. The top part of item specifics where it says recommended, I would type in Does not Apply or Unknown. I would copy and paste either of those for required item specifics. The lower part, for recommended item specifics, I would fill out what I wanted to, then choose the Do Not Ask Again if they sent me a reminder to update item specifics. It seems to have worked as I don't get them anymore.
Or maybe it was a temporary tech glitch? Either way, best of luck to you.

Whenever they change the layout of the Item Specifics on a listing, it overrides the "Stop Bothering Me With This" box that you checked the last time they changed the layout of the Item Specifics. So basically, your attempt to have them stop these annoying reminders gets wiped out about every 2 weeks.

I clearly understand they are a recommendation it is the the vey fact that they constantly show up on your seller hub page. Plus at some point seeing 50,100 or more items with these recommendations is just more aggravation they I need.

It really bugs me to see them stay in my To Do List. I suppose I could just get over it. It's so irritating to spend a lot of time looking them over and checking the boxes, and the next week there are 50 more.

It's not easy getting over an annoyance that keeps showing up despite your conscientious efforts to get rid of it. It's kind of like crabgrass.
