After all these years, received my 1st negative for a $10 item (flag pole bracket) that included free shipping. No where in my listing does it mention nor shows screws are provided. Yet, the buyer posted a negative that I didn't include screws and that he contacted me and that I didn't respond to his question. I never received any messages or contact from him/her. I recently contacted buyer asking maybe they posted negative to the wrong seller but haven't heard anything and it's now been 3 days. I have asked ebay for assistance to remove the negative but haven't heard from them either. Maybe I should call them instead, but has anyone else had any luck getting a negative feedback removed?

Whether the seller has replied is totally irrelevent. It is all based on whether the feedback qualifies or not.
the reply thing is a persistent urban legend. It has never been a consideration for this policy.

OK, I will will fall back to what grandma told me over 50 years ago.
Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
I have seen feedback (-) that said comment(s) removed, but that red donut was still there.

I have too but AFAIK that’s not because the seller posted a reply. It has never been a listed as a consideration for removal and Trinton has confirmed that on the boards.

Bracket listed as new in box, so I would expect screws even though they are not mentioned in the listing. If the bracket was listed as used, I would have asked if the bracket came with screws.

I'd send the buyer the appropriate number and size of screws required for mounting. I can't imagine receiving a flag-pole holder that didn't include the appropriate mounting hardware. Just performed a quick Amazon search (because it's easiest), and every flag-pole holder available for sale on the first page had the screws included.
I tend to agree with that. Every time we've purchased a new item that needs to be installed or assembled the hardware is always included . Just personally speaking I know I wouldn't want to have to go searching for the proper stuff to put something together . However since the hardware wasn't mentioned as included in the OP's listing in this particular case I don't think they deserved a negative . Not sure I'd try to get the negative removed if this were me ,, but I'd probably leave a polite follow up comment instead . Tulips

Ebay removed a negative that I received just recently . A buyer wanted to make a return but
even after I explained to her how to do it ,, she never began a return . She left negative feedback because she said she never received a return label. Tulips
