I got a message this morning from eBay titled:
Update your listings now to ensure they comply with recent security, policy and listing requirements updates.
But no listings are identified in the message. I've looked in the seller hub and don't see anything flagging specific listings. How am I to know which listings are needing to be updated?

I got the exact same message. First I thought it was a spoof since I forward my messages to email. When confirmed it wasn’t a spoof (ebay messages) I got confused for a second and decided to ignore it... at least until any of the blues can chime in about this. @Anonymous brian@ebay alan@ebay
Hi @bigdeals.etc, this blank email was sent out in error and does not represent an issue on your account. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Thanks. At least I know it wasn't just me. There was a broken link to the eBay home page in mine too.

i received the same notice both in personal email and messages this morning...my main concern was this "security" reference which sort of put me in a panic. and all that link did was take me to ebay main page. i dont use seller hub but did...turns out, out of 67 actives, only one needed a requirement for size, which was already in the listing. it then said 21 needed "recommended" IS which is NOT a requirement...just another broken piece of ebay. they need to get that security reference out of the announcement, too. has nothing to do with security.

I was going to call Ebay support but, based on my past interactions I realized that I do not have enough alcohol on hand to the weather the call. Hopefully someone will figure it out but as another poster stated it is probably a spoof message or someone at Ebay headquarters that does not have a clue.
Thanks

I tried something. I went to ACTIVE LISTINGS selected everything, and then tried to bulk REVISE them. One listing was flagged as lacking the Item Specific: MATERIAL, a cotton bed skirt that originally had FABRIC in the Item Specifics but when eBay decided that fiddling around with Item Specifics would be a swell use of everybody's time, FABRIC was removed and MATERIAL put in its place and left empty but Required.
That was the only item that came up as having any kind of flag on it.
Even so, I have no idea what the real reason was for the email other than that somebody on eBay staff decided that it was time to mess with the sellers again for a bit of sport. Since we're not getting any sales to speak of, maybe this was some busy work for us.

Perhaps it is a precursor to a Seller Update. As far as the e-mail, possibly practicing their English?
'Sides, everybody needs a hobby.

Received the same message below:
We’ve identified the listings that need to be changed to meet our updated standards.
I have not seen what is identified.

perhaps it's my stickers sales that only have a photo?👀

I got the same one. It may apply to some old listings that ended and haven't been relisted. When I relisted some old ones recently, Ebay had lost the Shipping and Return policies etc that I have in all of my listings. (can't list without them after all) Maybe the email is in reference to the old stuff now that they've screwed them up? It's the only thing I can figure.
As to sticker auctions, you may need a an image of the back, i.e. a blank sheet of whatever. The last I looked, they don't allow a "This space intentionally left blank" sign. You don't want to put a second image of the same sticker up in case someone thinks you're selling a twofer.
