I received the following message:
To help us remove the restriction on your account, you’ll need to upload documentation showing that you purchased the item(s) recently listed on eBay. This can include a manufacturer's invoice or a receipt. You can upload your documents at the following link:
I am not sure what to do as I am selling items I have collected since I was a child (a long time ago). Has anyone run into this problem of selling a collection or gifts that you don't have a receipt?

Maybe the words "Brand New" or "New" in your items for sale did it.
"I am selling items I have collected since I was a child"...and I believe you but does 'AI'
Don't use those words. How to get out of this mess with no receipts or are gifts to you?
Maybe someone else might have a solution.
You still items listed...change the wording to used...old or pre-owned or whatever but change then and see what happens as a start.

I would definitely agree. Listing multiples of a New item will get the bots' attention. I don't know how much they would bother to look at items listed as Used, at least in lower price ranges.
