Thats what I was just telling my wife. I think so too. Thought I would be scared and send him something free

I would not even answer him, sounds like a scammer, especially from the broken English and no proof of anything.

He didn't really pick you individually, he most likely sent this out to thousands of different sellers, hoping to phish their computers or even add a key-logger to them. He also hoped some sellers would be confused enough to send him money.
This kind of thing happens from time to time, you need to be on your toes and not fall for any of the scams.

I think your theory is right. It looks like you are dropshipping sexual enhancement products and he bought from another seller who was using the same listings.

I would believe that but the fact he has no proof is so ridiculous. Doesnt happen with ebay. Everything is always documented

Well, not always: if a seller is nuked by eBay, his listings may be removed as well, leaving nothing behind. If that happened to the guy who's writing to you, he may have found your listings by searching in the same manner that he found those of the previous seller, and recognized the text and/or images of yours as being the same listing that he bought from in the past. He may think you are his seller under a new name.
In any event, you don't owe him anything and he has no claim against you, although you might want to add him to your Blocked Bidder List (here) as a precaution.

Thanks I just blocked him.
I believe you I guess not all systems are perfect.
Anyways, he has been a member for 3 weeks and has 3 positive reviews as buyer. 2 sellers seem legit. One of the sellers who left that feedback doesnt even have anything for sale.

Was this an email or an eBay message?
The buyer, if he is one, may not know how to navigate his Purchase history or even know it's there.
If he found you by searching by item title, that may be why he contacted you. Even if he found the item he bought, eBay would have presented him with a live auction instead of the ended one, and it's not readily apparent that the original listing can't be seen unless you click on SEE ORIGINAL . Your listing might have been presented to him as an alternative.
Personally, I would never tell a buyer that eBay never makes those mistakes. eBay makes plenty of mistakes and one of them is making it difficult for buyers to see their old purchases unless they mess around with the search parameters in Purchase History which only defaults to 60 days or fewer and letting buyers get into a confusion in THE HUB trying to figure out where their purchase history is.
What I'd do, is just tell him that I'm not the seller he purchased from and recommend that if he is able to find the original payment record when logging into Paypal, that he open a NOT RECEIVED case directly on Paypal so that it will be directed to the correct seller.

Hey, that's right... I had forgotten about eBay's misdirection function, steering the user to an active listing when they're trying to follow the link to an ended listing. Does that still have an effect if he's logged in and trying to click on one of his own purchased items? (I guess if eBay did remove the old listings along with the seller, he would have only the other listings of similar titles or images to choose from.)

If the seller (who you copied) was made NARU by ebay then it's entirely possible that the item and all record of the purchase vanished along with the seller. ebay is prone to do that, lord knows why.
The moral of the tale may be to write your own copy and take your own pictures.

Sounds like a scam .He's hoping you have so many orders you'll just get confused and send him a freebie or a refund . The threats of calling his bank and the better business bureau are a dead give away . It means he's uncertain you'll fall for this so he's ramping it up . Ignore him . Tulips
