Re:

So I was asleep and woke up to an additional payment done to eBay Shipping Inc. for an additional $1 does anyone have any idea why this is? I can't seem to find anything about it, I don't care about the $1 I just am wondering where this came from. It was 4 am EST when it happened. The only description I have on it is this.

USPS label cost adj.,Tracking:[tracking number redacted], Rev Assurance

Has anyone else experienced this? Or seen it on their statements/PayPal?

"Revenue Assurance" is the U.S. Postal Service dinging your account for what sounds like a slightly overweight/underpaid package. I see it was a First Class Package. How much weight did you declare? It sounds like it was actually up in the next 4-ounce price category (e.g. 12.1 ounces rather than 11.9).

Re:

It may be a cost adjustment made by the USPS, usually if the item is measure different then what was stated.

Re:

That usually means a shipping label that you created prior was $1 short.

You miscalculated the size or weight.

They are now charging you the $1 you were short.

Re:

I had it at 3 oz which is what it is due to it being just a card I was shipping.

Re:

Sometimes the USPS Revenue Assurance returns money if you over pay too.

I've actually had more refunds than underpayments.

Yep, I just had one the other day. First time I ever got one-- I was surprised.
