Re: RECIPE FOR DISASTER....

I used to have over a thousand listing through any given month but since GTC now I don't dare to have more than 900 so not to get hit with extra listing fees, How does that help anyone ?

Now Managed Payments ~ Feels like I am in the Twilight Zone !!!

I believe most sellers would not have a problem with managed payment if it was not forced upon them and they got paid right away before having to ship the item !

I will "Never Never Never" ship an item before payment is in my account, I am not that naive !

Feel sorry for all those sellers effected by these horrible forced policies.

It is a Blessing that there is more than just this selling platform out there.

(They will not stop us from making money just making them money !)

Re: RECIPE FOR DISASTER....

Agreed.  I used to run 2200 auctions.  I downsized my store to Basic because of GTC and now have about 160 items listed.  I am keeping my day job and barely have the interest in promoting ebay like I used to or to work my own store.   Life is too short for all the trouble ebay has created.

You can add technical glitches to that recipe!!! Said to be resolved but I have serious doubts seeing the number of views I'm getting now. They were MUCH higher before October 1st.

Re: RECIPE FOR DISASTER....

One major ingredient is that certain ebay policies are misused, just too inviviting for scammers & the dishonest.

Re: RECIPE FOR DISASTER....

Speaking of technical glitches, does anybody else have a problem loading the "Community" page?  Often times I click "Community" to get to the Discussion Board and it seems the eBay pages are slow to load.  Just wondering if it is my connection or eBay itself.

As predicted Sales are slow because of the new state sales tax and eBay glitches.  I got one sale in all of October and usually sell about 3-5 items per month.    It's going to be a bumpy ride.

Going to the tax issue and lack of sales. Got an order for $59 + $4 shipping yesterday from a customer in Minnesota. She was CHARGED $4.80 in state TAXES?!? That just seems absurdly high to me. Had that been added to my order before checkout, even I would have cancelled it!!! I pay high $$$ for the items I sell and can't afford to drop prices by much BUT our poor buyers are really taking a beating. I sure won't be buying anymore inventory until I sell what I have. It's NO wonder we aren't getting sales anymore!!!

You can say that again ! They've been my saving grace . Here it is already near the second week of November  with Christmas  right around the corner  and  e bay sales are still  taking a nosedive . This certainly hasn't been  typical of all the holiday seasons  before here .

I hope I'm just speaking too soon  and things begin to improve quickly   but just in saying that  gives me the feeling of Dejavu . Tulips

The worst part of all  is e bay sellers can talk amongst themselves  over  the obvious  lack of good operating skills   in management until doomsday . When good suggestions  coming from seasoned  and experienced sellers keeps falling on deaf ears  then it's just wasted breath.  Tulips
