Ok. Just have to add my two cents. All the complaining about 30 day GTC I don't understand. Sellers worried about paying for a listing twice in a 31 day month, and I must ad only under very specific circumstances, yet under those same specific circumstances in a month like February you would not be charged at all. IT IS a 30 day cycle not a monthly cycle. Besides that Ebay billing cycle is on the 15th of each month. It does not matter if you are charged for a listing on the 1st, 30th or 31st of the month. Only one charge will show on a billing cycle. Yes I can understand how this can affect an accounting software. I don't use one but there must be a work around as a multitude of other businesses would be affected. There are many things on a 30 day cycle and not monthly. I would guess most businesses have the understanding that over the period of one year this all works out to an even bottom line.
A simple analogy is prescriptions. You buy on the 1st of the month and get 30 day supply. You have to go back to the pharmacy on the 31st to buy again. Do you complain? What about a month like February? At the end of the month do you even notice you have extra pills.? Maybe take them all so you start the next month out fresh.
I don't know about others but I am more concerned about when my prescriptions run out than when my Ebay listing do or don't.
OH wait a minute one last thought. Since February is only 28 days and I pay for 30 should I not get a discount?

What you are missing is that some sellers do not want to be charged at all.
If a seller wants to have 50 listings that use up his 50 free insertions every month, in your example he would get 50 free insertions on January 1, and have to pay for 50 renewals on January 31. And in February, his 50 free insertions would go unused.
(But as I and others have pointed out, simply starting your 50 listngs on Jan 20th instead of Jan 1st would eliminate this situation for several years).
