Quit the forum now if you want sales on eBay

Yes, some members think if you as a seller are critical of eBay and management on this forum that they will treat your accounts like a Voodoo doll and you will be cursed with low or no sales.

So should the forums be shut down for the good of eBay sellers since this is the case ??

I don't know, kiddo!  Smiley Very Happy

I'm just sure there has to be something to the *tin hat thing*...  just like the *say-something-nice-about-eBay-and-get-rewarding-sales-thing*

You know if you believe it hard enough, it has to be true!

Ha, that's a hoot, and why didn't you mention this earlier?  Dang it!

Now it's useless information for me since I decided to delete almost all of my listings earlier today, until all this chaos subsides.  Will it ever?

The mods here trying to 'splain away all the recent tech craziness....remind me of Sean Spicer.

Imo anyone who thinks this can continue to do so.

I am only a small seller & will continue on my merry way.

I may not agree with all eBay policies but I can live with them.

It's Devin's new algo, he sits here on the forums and when you say he is doing a great job the floodgates are opened up on your selling accounts and you are thinking, wow, this is what winning the Powerball feels like !!!

You think eBay can't figure out who you are if you use a fake ID to post on the forums ?

LOL, I use to run forums back in the day before mobile ruined all of them, forum administrators have a duplicate account tool that shows all the ID's posting from an IP address.

Actually Jeff (ex community leader or whatever) did say that behavior on the boards MAY have repercussions on your selling account.

@tonycea  No corrolation in my mind.  Within any organization there will always be differing of opinions.  I am sure within the walls of the eBay office there are a miriad of differing viewpoints and those folks have to work with each other everyday.  Our part of the organization is removed electronically, nobody at eBay has to see us everyday and to think that all ebay employess spend countless hours reading endless threads and posts by specific members (who may be using a posting ID only) and then taking the time to access the central account command center ("IF" they have access) and click the Hex Account button ... well, I'm just not buying in to that.

And to think....I was considering opening up a covfefe store (for about 5 seconds) before I came to my senses.

Honestly, sales have been decent lately, but these glitches are driving me nuts.  I sure hope things calm down soon.

Really do not believe that if you voice an opinion here whether good or bad that you would be targeted for anything. Forums always have negative and positive experiences posted. On a site like this, a complaint dept. If Mr Wenig or any executive on Ebay looks at these posts, I believe they would view them as important information to be used to make this a better experience for all. If I were a CEO I would be extremely interested in what kinds of complaints were voiced and all of this could be used to build a better marketplace and community.

Uh, that is what should be done, but many here think that there are underhanded uses going on with this forum at eBay, they think eBay is planting the posting ID's who are acting as sellers, but really are not sellers at all.

I have read this on other forums, even in the UK where they believe this has been happening for the last decade.
