Ok so I understand about not combining separate orders. That is not a problem.
Yesterday I had a wonderful buyer add about 12 items to the cart. Messaged me, and I waited as he pushed the button. When the sale came through on my side it was three separate orders. When he thought it should have been one order.
So, my questions are... Why did it do that? Is there something I have set incorrectly? I could have put his items into two boxes. However, now he is getting three. Is there a way for me to fix this so all the items would go into one order?
Totally unrelated question. (still EIS) I was writing listings today. I noticed changes I am not used to seeing (obviously). One I saw was a check box to list on the UK site (Some fees may apply). What is that all about?
Are our EIS eligible listings not going into the UK? Do we have to pay extra for the UK? What are the fees that apply?
I am sure this is just the beginning of my questions. It's a brave new world.

Regarding the combined invoice, one would have to see all the details. Perhaps, some of the listings were not set up to be "combinable".
I get lot of orders from UK, I don't check that box (or any other country-specific box) to make sure I am not hit with some strange fees. I get about 10 int'l orders every month, so I guess, my (and also yours) items are visible internationally even without checking these boxes.

I am not the shipping expert like the guys that might post here for you
but..
you almost certainly exceeded various limits with the addition of either weight, dimensions, for the shipping method you are utilizing...
in other words, the shipping settings really have no way to determine the "final size" of box you use to pack it all......so it "assumes" the three items will fill what you have designated
You can probably combine them all for your customer anyways (utilizing the bulk shipping tool) and just refund the difference...

To address your second question:
The check box is for the International Site Visibility feature. See the link below.
This has been around for at least 15-20 years, and it has not been "expanded" yet. It was never very effective or cost-effective when I tried it, and I think it is probably even less relevant now. I don't think you are losing anything by choosing not to waste money on it.
