Question regarding Promoted Listings............

Does increasing the Ad Rate above the Trending Rate give you better placement in the listings?  Any help would be appreciated.

Not in my experience.

What I have noticed is that immediately after launching a new promoted campaign I seem to get an increase in sales, with almost all items selling at the  promoted fee.  I also notice a slight increase at the end of the promotion.  Does not matter whether the promotion is for 2%, 5% or 10%.  Below the going rate or above it.

I now run my promotions for 3 - 5 days only.

Got to keep jumping through those hoops.  I've been running one for a month and a half and sales from promoted listings seem to be dropping off.  Guess it's time to end it and start again.
