I recently posted a coach purse on line to sell. eBay took it off saying it was fake. I admit I’m no expert but from what I see it looks real to me. Can someone help thx eBay friends. TG

Someone probably reported your listing because they were knowledgeable about the brand.
Don't relist it, you may want to post photos of this purse and the creed inside of the purse on the fashion board for piece of mind.

Sorry, no one here can help with that. It's best you don't try to list it again, because it will be taken down again. Actions may be taken against your account like being restricted or suspension.

If you're no expert, the looks can fool you.

The next time you have a handbag and you're not sure of authenticity -- there's a handbag forum where some knowledgable people will help you out.

If you post pictures on the handbag OR on the fashion forum someone there may be able to confirm if it is or isn’t authentic.

I am not sure where you originally obtained the purse but some countries, China probably being at the top of that list, have gotten very good at making counterfeit items and it often does require an expert to tell the difference. Unfortunately Coach is not one of the brands that is eligible for the authentication program and as silverstatetreasureboxes noted somebody probably reported the item as being counterfeit so it was removed. It happens to a lot of items these days.

I would appeal their decision and let them know ... you're no expert but it looks real to you.

It's really hard to offer an opinion without pictures!
Just so you know, it's your responsibility as a seller to KNOW items are authentic before listing. It's not good enough to think it's genuine or to believe it "looks real" to you.

Looks real is not the standard, and it's certainly not a defense.
All of these brands have various markers of authenticity. They can include serial numbers, date codes, authenticity cards, hologram tags, etc., not to mention tell-tale signs in stitching, craftsmanship, hardware, and more.
Anyone can research this stuff online and seek free advice before listing.
Edited to add: I duped myself by failing to realize @inhawaii was just employing his dry wit by repeating OP's bad excuse. I'll dismount my high horse now ... and no more morning posting before coffee!
