I have noticed eBay is not showing promotions in search results this week. This has been an on and off situation for a few months now and it is hurting our sales. I have called eBay several times and all they can say is they are doing updates and test. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

I have the same issue. Many years ago when ebay first started this I called ebay about why some have this showing, and asked how I can get it. They had someone who works on the website do something and my green tag showed on the search.

Anyway for months now my green tag in the search is gone. I have called Ebay 7 times or so now about the issue. ALL customer specialistist have no idea what I am talking about.......They all guess at what it is. One rep even told me I need a special APP......

Then when I tell them to search for as a example "live shrimp" and show them how one seller has the promotion in the main search....then I explain I purchsed from this seller because it showed the deal in the search.

They go through a series of time wasting steps and holds. Finnally lf they click on one of my listings and tell me promotion is there.......THEN I HAVE TO RE-EXPLAIN I need it IN THE SEARCH. Then they tell me its because Im using markdown manager and my 10% is showing. I then explain I have used markdown manager ALWAYS and it ALWAYS showed along with the promotions green tag.

I then tell them I tried not using markdown manager to see if it would show on some items....IT DOES NOT SHOW.

I have explained to them that showing markdown managers percent off is useless for attracting buyers compared to the promotion. Because buyers only care about bottom line price. Another useless search thing is quantity sold......The point I make to them is I want the promotion over that stuff

Eventually I am told they will look into this and call/email me back. NEVER HAPPENS lol.

We must have had the same agent because you described every call I have ever made to ebay about this issue. Same run around, still no solution. They make me feel like I am the crazy one.

I really don't have any experience with the promotions ..... BUT, it may be the browser you are using.

It has been known to happen that when browsers update, ebay isn't necessarily on top of it to catch up or they don't want to update particular browsers.

Sorry, for lack of anything else to consider and lack of responses, best I can offer.

Unfortuentely I have tried all browsers as well as several computers. The problem still occurs on chrome, firefox and safari. I appreciate your input. 🙂

I have had the same problem, and even just today posted about it in the technical issues forum.

However, since that post, my promotion is now showing in the search results, maybe about 3 hours after my initial post. Someone in that thread mentioned that it only shows if the promotion is "compelling enough", whatever that means...

As far as I can tell, it wasn't showing on my listings for a couple days. But the same promotion was showing, at least last week for sure.

I wish they would fix whatever it is. It is important to show at the search level, to help a buyer make a decision about a particular item/price when compared against others, not just AFTER they've gone to the item page. Ridiculous...

I am trying my first promotion - I am marking certain store categories 10%. As far as I can see this sale is not showing up anywhere.... Any advice? I followed the directions so I think I did it right. Not impressed. How can people take advantage of my sale if they can't see it. Should I bother calling?
