Promoting items causes dip in impressions

When I add more items to be promoted and raise rates.  It causes impressions to go down.

Depending on what Adblock software/extensions a buyer is using, "Promoted Listings" get treated as an Ad, and are not shown to the buyer.  This results in "The more you promote, the less views you get."

One of the major reasons I'll never use Promoted Listings.

Impressions are not views. I am talking about impressions i.e. Ebay showing my items in searchesthat buyer can view later if it is displayed.

That it means Ebay is hiding my listings if it is not a causation then what? What is it (prmoting more and raising rates) for?

Semantics.  If the browser never renders the 'Promoted item' because it's viewed as an ad, then it's not an impression either.

But impressions are also internal  and those are not blocked by adblocker, right? Internal meaning showing in searches on ebay and sidebar and under someone else’s listings etc.
