Is signing up for promoted listings worth it?

I tried a few items on it and I have had zero sales and barely any views so not worth it for me!

It depends. 

If your item is not showing up on the first page of search results, then you will struggle to sell it ... promoted listings gets it occassionally on the front page.   You only pay the promoted listing fee if it sells.  I've sold a lot of items in highly competitive search words through promoted listings that otherwise weren't moving.

If your item is already on the first page of search results, then it is pointless ... you could be paying for no benefit.

And, of course, Promoted Listings cannot overcome sluggish sales of items that no body wants, that are over-priced, or that have poor listing characteristics (e.g., bad photos, angry/harsh terms and conditions, wrong category, etc.)

It was NOT worth it for me.

If you read the fine print it says something like cost per click. You can refresh and it goes up by 3.

It added up way too quick for me and im soooo screwed this month on my fees like last month &

the lovely forced returns.
