Promoted listings

Is anyone else getting charged a higher promotion fee than what you set. I have reported it twice because I have a set 5% because I am paying ebay so much money I am making less than 50% of my profit. Check you promotions and make sure ebay is not charging you more than they should. They said it is a glitch in the system that they will report it. But I have reported so many times and it doesn't seem like anything gets done.

Re: Promoted listings

Hi @catmond9sik

Are you sure you didn't figure the % on just the item price?  The % is levied on the total transaction price ...

I check mine regularly and am not seeing what you are.  I have 6% Ad Rate ,,,

Based on your example and it looks like you are promoting at 10% so the $2.22 is the correct fee for the PL but you are also paying the standard eBay FVF's of 13.25% on the entire purchase amount or 23.25% + $.30 in total fees which equates to $5.46 in total fees or about 26.31% of your gross sale amount of $20.75.
You then have the shipping selling expense to take out of your remaining $15.29. Then once you have deducted your eBay selling costs you have to subtract your COGS, packing materials, ink, paper, POV, Federal and State income taxes...........  You may want to relook at your cost model and adjust your prices based on the ROI you are attempting to achieve.

Re: Promoted listings

Just to make sure:  Do you have your promoted listings campaign set to dynamic or static?  If it's set to dymamic, your pl rate will adjust.
