Given the fact that you are a new seller and only have 8 items for sale in a very saturated venue, I would hold off until you've accumulated some sales.  It wouldn't make sense money wise, especially if one of your item sells for 99 cents.  You won't be getting much return if any.

First you don't have a store.

Second Promoting a listing is never a guarantee that your item will sell.

As the previous poster said accumulate more sales before you do promotions.

Gaining sales experience helps too.
