So, I had a sale of a promoted item in July 18th and I see a charge for it categorized as an "ad fee" on my Aug 15 invoice. As this is the first (and as far as I know only) time a promoted listing has sold I am curious when/how I will credited back as I get a $30 quaterly credit I believe. Anyone familiar with this process? Thanks!

So far I've gotten all of my credits. Not that I don't trust ebay or anything, but I write down the dates & fees charged for the promoted listings and have been checking my seller account details about once a week to watch for the credits to show up.
So far, so good. Some take a few weeks but they have all come through.

The charge will be on your August Invoice.
The credit will be on your September Invoice for the exact amount of the August charge.
The balance runs for the quarter. If you start at the beginning of the quarter ...
July Ad Charges $7.50 - charged on July 31 Invoice
August Ad Charges $6 - August 31 Invoice gets a credit of $7.50 and a charge of $6.50
September Ad Charges $4 -September 30 Invoice gets a credit of $6.50 and a charge of $4
Etc, etc, etc

Hi Fern, Oh ... so you are seeing the credit on the same monthly invoice that is sold in? I am going to have to go over this invoice a little better and look for a credit.
Do you find this promotional listitingd help with sales? What I am having a problem with is I have 2 listings but when I go to that campaign link I can't see my current promotional listings -- no item #s, or pictures, or anything. How do you keep track of your campaigns. To me this is an admistrative nightmore or I am missing something here.

The credits were probably on the next month's statement, but I didn't pay much attention to the dates. I just crossed them off my list once I saw them.
I don't think the promoted listings have helped too much. Maybe at first, but now the sales have entirely stopped on them for me. I just did it because it bugged me to have a $30.00 credit and not even try to use it.
I always thought after more and more sellers did this that it would probably annoy buyers more than attract them. Plus, ebay says it helps with placement, but how much if most listings are promoted because not everyone can be at the front of the line.
I think ebay could do a much better job with the bookkeeping on this. I have a heck of time finding the info and it seems it is wiped out quickly. My campaigns from a couple months ago show zero sales now and those were the ones when I did have sales. That's why I ended up using pen and paper the old fashioned way.
