Promoted FEE increase

Excerpt from recent E-Bay message.........

" on or before July 11 to 2% or higher so that your promoted listings can continue to appear in advertising placements across the eBay network. If you decide not to make any changes, those listings will still be active but won’t be promoted."

My comment:

THIS change is clearly a way for E-bay to force a 1% raise in income from this one rather benign listing option.  Why don't they give SELLERS a 1% discount on out fees so maybe we could profit more and afford to purchase (find) newer product to build fresh listings? Clearly this is backwards corporate thinking to fill the investors profits. Now they can claim a 1% increase in revenue and lie to the stock holders!

I have perfectly satisfactory results using only 1% promotions. Just enough to hit the list.

SO - if they want to raise me 100%, I'll use 50% fewer promoted listings!  (you can figure the calculus)

In closing........

Don't know about you but business has tanked. Most likely World affairs and NOT e-bays direct fault. (I'll give them some credits). So my days are soon to be numbered me thinks.

Have a great day - stay safe Y'all

As always - your comments are welcomed. But please stay on subject!!!

Re: Promoted FEE increase

It's not all doomsday. Simply stop using promoted & hope the natural view traffic scores you some sales or bump up the 1% promoted to 2% and maybe adjust your sell price a nickel, dime, or quarter. Adjust & adapt, you will be ok!!!
