You can't connect your eBay account to Google Merchant because you don't own the domain (eBay dot com) even with url with your store name (because it exists on this domain), so you need to set up some kind of website or webstore (I used Shopify for a while) as a sort of 'pass through' - now my experience is several years old and Google has changed its merchant services several times (and now has dumped Analytics), so best to verify.
