Problems with a buyer who sent me a message

Hello
The problem I have today is the following
A buyer who also sells watches sent me a message saying that some watches arrived broken
and he blames me for packing them badly
I have been selling watches for a long time and this almost never happens to me
He also calls watches junk that will go to someone else
And he told me this I will be leaving appropriate feedback. I’m eating this loss so folks will know.
So before calling eBay customer service I preferred to see what they tell me here
What can I do? I thought about reporting the message because it is offensive and threatening
Can you tell me what I can do?
Thank you very much

Problems with a buyer who sent me a message

By any chance does the buyer currently have 204 feedbacks and 2 negative?

1.) ignore any future messages (do NOT respond)

2.) wait until buyer opens an official return case- then approve and refund when you get them

Sounds like this is how 'buyer' gets free watches to sell.....

Tell buyer to return for a refund.

Have a great day.

As a seller to buyer(seller)...the best thing to do is show 'watches arrived broken' in a photo in an email to you. This would be the right thing to do...of course buyer doesn't have to send a photo but as a seller also the buyer can do that in a flash.

'leaving appropriate feedback'... I would be quick to buy the cheapest thing this buyer has and leave him the same...but that's just me.

'calling customer service'...'reporting the message'...waste of time on your behalf.

Buyer didn't want to return? Sounds like buyer picked this and that already so the return might not have everything returned.

Would I do a partial refund...nope.

Block the buyer and buy a cheapo item from him.

"I regret you are unhappy with your purchase. Please return the watches for refund."

Rinse and repeat until he either files an Item Not As Described or returns the watches.

If he files the INAD- send the return shipping label and refund on arrival.

If he doesn't Block him and ignore.

He can continue to Message you if you respond to his Messages.

He also calls watches junk that will go to someone else

So he plans to resell the "junk" watches?
Interesting business plan.
And he told me this I will be leaving appropriate feedback.

Keep this Message.

It can be used , depending on the exact wording, to have a negative feedback removed.

Since he is not asking for a refund, it is possible he is no longer allowed to use the Money Back Guarantee.

EBay already has their eye on him.

Thanks everyone for the answers

I responded apologizing but he told me that he does not want a partial or full return, he says that
These pieces of junk will only go to another unsuspecting person. We don't need to have any further contact. I was just making you aware.

and in the first message he told me
I will be leaving appropriate feedback. I'm eating this loss so folks will know.

So
in the email there is the option to report for offense or threat
So I was thinking of doing that of reporting for threats and offenses
But first I better post on the forum to see what you advise me to do

'reporting for threats and offenses'...will go in one ear and out the other ear of someone or artificial intelligence.

'don't need to have any further contact' and 'leaving appropriate feedback'....that doesn't sound good.

I already mentioned what to do.

Ok then I don't have to do anything
just wait for the bad feedback that they will leave me and report it later

I also see that he is a competitor, I see his feedback and he signs many negative ones

Only if he is Messaging you and nothing else.

If he opens a Claim then you IMMEDIATELY send the return shipping label and wait for the watches to come back.

If they do, you refund.

If they do not, the Claim lapses, but stay on top of it.
