Problems with a buyer from china

Hi guys! I just sold a toy set to a guy from china. First He wanted me to send it to his friend in California which I did. The friend sent it back and their were no problems. Then the original guy kept begging me for the toys, I told him no I don't ship to china. He kept begging and I said ok but, you have to pay shipping. I stated in the discription the toys were imports but, the figures were in pristine condition. He wanted me lower the shipping cost I said I couldn't but, I could offer him a lower price for the set I took $50 off and I've been in communication with him through the whole proccess. He received them and was dissapointed that the boxes were damaged! Not the figures, the boxes! I told him I can refund him 79.20 for the four the seemed like they were opened. He said he want 100.00! I said no you etheir return the items or you take the partial refund. But, I'm nervous becace the the return window is sept 27th and I'm not sure what's going to happen if I ask eBay to step in. The guy said the toys have novalue now because of "damage" He doesn't want to return I'm not sure how it's all going to go down but, I found out the guy's a seller too! I don't know guys I need advice

Return for refund.  Rinse and repeat.

I do not believe in partials.  After they are granted they always seem to want more.

And in the future, stick with your policy.  Do not let buyers talk you into doing something you are not comfortable with.

As for the first transaction, what was listed on the paypal address.  Shipping anywhere other than that leaves you no protection.

The box problem is probably because he wants to resell them as new......  but if the boxes are damaged, he can't.  Did you have insurance on them?

Was this a sale for $200.......that you gave him $50 back and now offering $79.20 back?

If he returns you have to pay shipping and since you can't send a label, you'll have to send via paypal .....at which point he may disappear.......if he wants to keep the items......  If you don't send the return shipping $, Ebay will force a full refund and let him keep the items.  I don't know how you would figure out the return shipping cost.

Sit down with the numbers and see how you best come out........
