Re: Problem with start selling

As far as I know, sellers are not required to sell on their own site before selling on .com.  The rules posted about selling internationally have been around as long as I remember but I can't recall them  being enforced as I know if many sellers who sell internationally immediately. Usually if there is a problem listing, there is another reason.

It seems to me that when I first started selling and went to list on .com (I'm in Canada) I kept getting redirected to ebay.ca but I can't remember what I did to stop that from happening as that was a long time ago.  My guess is that in your case it has something to do with the way some sites redirect you to a home site rather than anything to do with ebay telling you where you have to start selling.  For example, if I type in Coach.com, it will direct me to the Canadian site even though I typed in the US url.  It's annoying.

You can try this..go to the Polish site and click on sell, then in the address bar, change .pl to .com and press enter.  I just tried it and it took me to a com listing page. I don't know if it will work for you but it can't hurt to try.

Re: Problem with start selling

Hi @zosya.21  Welcome to the community.

I know it must be terribly frustrating to see other sellers doing what you cannot. If i were you, i would start with eBay Poland to see what the criteria is to list on the dot com site. The holdup could be something as simple as needing to verify your identification. At this point we are making educated guesses about what the issue is—where eBay will be able to answer your question with certainty.

I can add that while you wish to sell US products to US buyers, that doesn't mean you are automatically considered as a domestic seller. You are in another country. It is likely you will be using a financial institution in Poland as well. There are criteria that must be met in order to sell under those circumstances.

Overall, selling on eBay is a complicated endeavor. You are already at a disadvantage in that you are going to rely on a foreign company to handle your inventory control and shipping. It is so easy to miss delivery dates or have an out-of-stock issue under those circumstances. Those two things can quickly and negatively effect your account’s standing on eBay. Below is a link to eBay’s drop-shipping policy.

Do know the majority of posters are here to offer genuinely helpful assistance. As with any public forum, different personalities will converge and it is best not to take offense to what some may advise.

I wish you well and hope your problem will get resolved quickly. Best of luck to you in being a new seller!

PS-do you have any prior history with eBay? I always advise loved ones who want to sell here to buy a few things and familiarize themselves with the platform.
