Hello all,
I hope all you Ebay experts out there can help me with something that probably has an obvious explanation.
Ive been gearing up my ebay business this year and this includes opening a store. One of my goals is to become a power seller, but I'm not entirley sure I'm pulling in the volume that wouls qualify me for that yet.
However, we I go into 'My Messages', I see the icon by my name denoting Power Seller. I do not see this icon in my seller hub, or on my store's page.
I've attached pictures to demostrate.
Do you know why I would show 'power seller' only on that one place? Am I reading the icons correctly?
Thank you!
how my name appears, only in messages
how my name appears in store and seller hub

Because that's the only place they ever show the icon these days.
About the only "benefit" to being a PS is access to the PS boards (which are not what they once were)
The only other "benefit" is that a buyer has to wait 7 days after delivery to leave less-than-positive feedback.
The only other place the PS status shows is on your seller dashboard.

I am a powerseller and top rated seller. Being top rated seller I get a 10% refund on sales but there is absolutely no benefit to being a powerseller.

Where do you get any info on being a power seller. I've searched through the help and it just goes to the TRS program, which I don't want to get into. The 7 day hold before making a negative comment, where have they identified that?
Thanks,

Make that a approximate 1% discount on sales and 10% credit on FVF at end of billing cycle.
I remember when they had Powersellers Group Insurance, I guess that was a while ago.

I can't find the 7 day thing 😞
There are occasionally posts on the buying board regarding buyers that were blocked from leaving neg/neut before 7 days ...
Come to think of it ... I haven't seen any of those lately ... I wonder if eBay made one of their "midnight policy changes" 😞

That's what I mean. There really isn't anything much about it. It's automatic based on performance, but what's the point of the whole thing anyway then.

That safeguard was probably eliminated because they determined that buyer's had no intent on harming a seller's feedback.

That reply required a C&C warning ... you made my cat jump and coffee needed to be mopped up 🙂

I've often wondered whether that 7 day delay was meant for the buyer to be able to "work it out with the seller" or perhaps they just thought most buyers would forget about it by the 8th day?

Wow, I think I thought powerseller was more of a big deal. I guess Top Rated Seller is the one that shows on your listings.
Being a Powerseller hasn't been a big deal since they switched the standards to become one. All you have to do is sell ONE ITEM every 3.65 days or about 8 and a half bucks every day with a minimum of 100 items. NO, being a powerseller hasn't been a big deal in a very long time.
