I bought this piece of pottery. Any ideas on the identification mark? Thanks.

This is one instance where wrong is right, it looks like a simple studio pottery design. Pretty though.

Thanks. Just checking as I am new to this!

Second that. I got the impression that the big long zig-zag was more intended to test the viscosity of the mix before firing than to be a signature.
Having said that, and maybe it's just my eyes doing flip-flops this morning from lack of coffee, but I think I can see three script initials scrawled into the base directly above the upper end of the zig-zag squiggle. A different angle of lighting might show something more.

Hey, are you implying that I'm not right every single time? Trying to crush my ego?

Thanks. I'm still trying to recover from your earlier post, but I'll get over it. I actually feel much better now.

@diil1087 Just an FYI, there are thousands of modern studio potters, you'll go crazy trying to figure out marks from them. Most of them make lovely items, but they are small time potters & the signature in most cases doesn't matter, unless they've reached some level of notoriety, which few of them do.

Very nice piece. Interesting glaze, maybe feldspathic. Love the colors. Someone put some time into it. Enjoy it!
