Postive experience with eBay Support

I created this Posting ID to convey to the Community of my positive experience with eBay.


My main Seller account has existed for nearly 20 years.
On average, once a year there has been a Buyer issue that just make my head shake.
Last month a Buyer made a $3 (plus shipping) purchase and cancels immediately (it happens sometimes).
Then a week later, the Buyer rebuys the same item after I relisted.
I message if they really want it. They agree.
No unusual stats concerning their account/address/feedback.
I ship out the next day. Tracking shows they get it in 6 days.
One week later, they change their mind (not needing it) and initiate the Refund process.
I have it set up so no refund can automatically be given (i.e. RMA # required).
I promptly consent to have the customer return the item and then a refund can be given once it is returned.
In no time, eBay notifies me that tracking shows the item has been returned.
My inside voice says "WHAT?"
Apparently, they have used my original tracking # to fill in the Return tracking request.
SMH...
Immediately I contact eBay (an email through their Contact Us process, since it was the weekend).
Woke up this morning to this pleasant surprise:

 

"Hello (name redacted),
We appreciate the time you have given us to review your concern for the (item redacted).
I understand that you still did not receive the item back.
My name is Kaydona and I will be happy to assist you today.
Upon checking on the case details, I can see that the buyer used the original tracking number in

sending the item back, which does not show that it was delivered to your return address.
For this we are granting your appeal.
It's been a pleasure assisting such a wonderful person today.
I hope you and your family stay safe and healthy always.
Sincerely,
Kaydona C.
eBay Customer Support"

In this case the Seller Protections have worked.
Thank you Kaydona.
I just wanted to let everyone who reads this,

that eBay actually used common sense(?) and corrected an issue in due time.
Thank you eBay!
At first, the Buyer left a Positive Feedback right after purchase, before I originally shipped.
Unfortunately, eBay had to strip the Positive Feedback regardless. (eh... What can you do?)

In the end, I just wanted to cast that somewhat rare light of hope on eBay.
