Posting Listings for Pre-Sale items

I have sports memorabilia and collectible items that I get as a season member ticket holder that I like to sell on eBay. I have found that listing for an upcoming Stadium Giveaway SGA is advantageous before the event.  I have found that items sell at a higher price typically as Pre-sale vs. after the event for whatever reason.

The part I'm having difficulties with is how to adjust the time frame to show the Pre-sale item will not ship until the item is actually available to me the seller. i.e., pre-sale purchase is made 8/30 but event is 9/18 hence shipping cannot occur until 9/19 at the earliest.   I mention this in the Description but wondering if there is a better way so I don't get notices that I'm late on shipping based upon the purchase date by buyer.

Presale listings must clearly state that they are "presale" in the title and description, and guarantee shipment within 40 business days of purchase.

In order to protect buyer and seller guarantees, presale listings must follow eBay policy, including listing the date the item will be available to ship.

What is the policy?

  • Presale listings must guarantee that the item will be shipped within 40 business days of purchase
  • The date the item will be available to ship must be clearly stated in the listing
  • Listings must clearly indicate in the title and description that the item is being offered for presale
  • Handling time details should include the time it will take the seller to acquire the item, in addition to the time it will take the seller to deliver the package to the shipping carrier

Activity on eBay is required to:

  • Follow all applicable laws
  • Respect the rights of third parties
  • Follow the eBay User Agreement
  • Follow this eBay policy

If activity doesn’t meet these requirements, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: administratively ending listings or canceling transactions, hiding or lowering the placement of listings in search results, lowering seller rating, restricting buying or selling, forfeiture of fees, loss of buyer or seller protections, restricting access to member communication and rating tools, removing feedback, and account suspension.

Here's policy on event passes, but I don't see an answer to your question. Sit tight for other posters.
