Posting An Answer To A Qustion

Hello All. Does anyone know why I can't see the question and answer on my listing like I used to be able to do? This happened on a previously listed item and now again on a current one. Has EBay changed it so that only buyesr can see it? I made sure that I had the proper box checked when I answered so there's no reason whay it shouldn't show up.

Give us a link to the listing?

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

OK, no Q&A there.  Was it a normal 'Contact Seller' question by internal messaging?  If so, it won't show on the listing.

A buyer would need to click your seller id, then contact and the q&a page will appear.IMG_4359.JPGIMG_4360.JPG

That's the normal Contact Selelr question area.  Not the same as the new product Q&A section appearing on some listings.  I'm not sure which the OP is asking about.

I got an internal message just like I always have when a prostective buyer wants to ask a question. There were two boxes just like there always has been, 1. send to your email and 2. post on the listing. I checked number 2 and sent.

I'm not seeing it on your listing either.  My guess is that they broke something when they added the new "Q & A" feature and made the old "Ask Question" feature back into "Contact Seller".  Perhaps someone can summon a blue to look into it?

I called EBay and the rep told me to go into account settings and change the faq box from no to yes. But I'm not sure he really understood the issue because I'm not sure that's goin g to help. That was for the buyer.

I have revised the listing. It's the only thing that I can do until EBay figures out what's wrong and fixes it. I'm surprised no one elese has complained about this before.

That's not going to work.  That setting displays some useless Q&A interface to the buyer when they attempt to use "Contact Seller", it's not your issue.

That's what I figured.

eBay customer service is just useless... but trinton or one of the employees hanging around here occasionally might understand the issue, and might know who to talk to to figure out what happened, and get it fixed (assuming it isn't intentional and they just didn't bother to tell us they won't show questions anymore on purpose).

That won't happen fast enough to be of any use on your Auction listing unfortunately, but it would be nice to get this resolved by next month when I'll start selling more again since I do use it occasionally.

I still can't make the "@" thing on the Community work right, or I'd do it myself.

You could add the info. from the Question to your listing using "Revise Item", but that will cause you to lose visibility for many hours while the listing is re-indexed in Search.  I think.  Since it has a bid you can't edit the Description, but you can add to it - it will display at the bottom of the listing, much like the Question you Answered used to.

I agree. I hate calling anymore. I added to the description and I guess that's what I will have to contiune to do for the time being. Thanks!
