eBay's definition of Era: "Time period the product is from or attempting to emulate"
eBay's definition of Time Period Manufactured: "Time period the product was manufactured in or manufactured to imitate, characterized by named time periods"
So if I list a modern reproduction of an undivided back postcard (c. 1901-1907), what value do I enter for Era: Pre-WWI (the new earliest era choice), c. 1901-1907 (the time period I am attempting to emulate), Post-WWII (the new latest era choice), or 2021 (the actual era of manufacture - my enter your own choice value)? And the same question applies to what should be entered for Time Period of Manurfacture.

All of my postcard listings have recommendations to add six recommended Items Specifics (IS). One of these IS is Circulated with 2 choices: Yes or No. When I click on "i" eBay's information says "Whether the product has been circulated" which is not particularly helpful. When I google circulate, a definition is: "pass or cause to pass from place to place or person to person." Likely most vintage and antique postcards have been circulated. I am NOT filling out this IS and suggest that eBay remove it from their recommended item specifics for postcards.
Why is eBay recommending this IS? My guess is that eBay is using Circulated to mean Posted, replacing the former IS of Postage Condition which had 2 values: Posted or Unposted.

All of my postcard listings have recommendations to add six recommended Items Specifics (IS). One of these IS is Unit of Sale. eBay's definition is " Type of product amount that is to be sold in the product listing" with 7 choices: Collection, Mixed Lot, Not Specified, Postcard Lot, Set, Single Unit, Unit of 2. There is no option to add your own. Since over 99% of my postcards are sold as single units, I am NOT adding this item specific unless I am selling a Postcard Lot or Collection. I suggest eBay remove it from their recommended item specific updates needed.

All of my postcard listings have recommendations to add six recommended Items Specifics (IS). Two of
these item specifics are City and Region. Previously there were item specifics of City/Region and State. Here are the problems:
1. If I am selling a US postcard of a city view, such as the Chicago Boards of Trades building, and add the new recommended city = Chicago and Region = Illinois, I now have to remove the former recommendations of City/Region = Chicago and State = Illinois or there are duplicate, repetitive item specifics seen by buyers, which is item specific clutter, if you will. Also State conveys more information than Region for US listings so why is region used for the 50 US states?
2. If I am selling a foreign German postcard of a Berlin city view, I am asked to fill in the Region and City, both of which have the choice of Berlin. Why am I asked to fill in the region, which introduces duplication, if item specifics for country and city are sufficient?

This has now been fixed. The IS has been changed back to Postage Condition with 2 values: Posted or Unposted. There is no option to enter your own value, which existed formerly. I used to enter values like "Posted - stamp missing" or "Posted - Flag cancel" but this is a minor issue. I really appreciate this Item Specific fix!
Sellers, send you IS suggestions, questions, and concerns to sdsupport@ebay.com.

Circulated has been removed from the listing page I use for postcards.
For time period, just enter the postcard period based on format: undivided back, divided, linen, chrome, etc.
And you can also leave that blank if it does not apply.

I totally agree. Its a real pain in the derriere to click on the drop down to enter "single unit" which, in addition, is at the bottom and makes you scroll more. This should be removed.

Another major problem is that I found some of my postcards in the wrong categories. I had a postcard of a ship > transportation, which was moved into "topographical" and a postcard of of Bird > animals, moved into "topographical". There were more that I did not keep track of and just corrected.
I have too many postcards listed at this time and I cannot check all to see if they are in the correct category.
I guess I will figure out with time as I am updating IS every days.

I just checked and saw that your postcard titled "Iroquois Indian Onondaga Turtle Clan Council House 1916 Postcard New York" is now located in Collectibles > Cultures & Ethnicities > Native American: US > 1935-Now > Postcards. So it is no longer listed in Collectibles > Postcards & Supplies > Postcards, and it is misclassified by date since it is a 1916 antique postcard. Though there is a subcategory of 1800-1934 for Native American: US it does NOT include a selection of Postcards. I saw other of your Native American postcards also moved to Collectibles > Cultures & Ethnicities.

Thank you so much for the info. I will check and see what to do. I hope collectors are still using the general search by titles.
